Al Gatto Verde – Modena – Sommelier

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic sommelier at our guest house Casa Maria Luigia, who can take care of our guests during their stay. Our family needs a friendly and professional person, to lead our guests through our dining experience with a deep knowledge of our menu and our wine list.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking care of our wine list updates;
  • Making recommendations on wine pairings;
  • Ensuring that the wine cellar is fully stocked;
  • Informing guests on the variety of wines available;
  • Working on the dinner service with our dining room staff.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Italian. The knowledge of a third language will be a plus;
  • Certification as a sommelier or a degree in hospitality is beneficial;
  • Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a hospitality role;
  • Extensive knowledge on wines and regions of the different types, both local and non local;
  • Available to work on weekends;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Enthusiasm, reliability, flexibility;
  • Lover of interaction with other people.

We offer a job position to keep until the end of 2022, with possibility to stay in the Francescana family if both sides are willing to proceed.
