We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic sommelier, who can take care of our guests during their stay. Our family needs a friendly and professional person, to lead our guests through our dining experience with a deep knowledge of our menu and our wine list.
Responsibilities:
- Taking care of our wine list updates;
- Making recommendations on wine pairings;
- Ensuring that the wine cellar is fully stocked;
- Informing guests on the variety of wines available;
- Working on the dinner service with our dining room staff.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English;
- Certification as a sommelier or a degree in hospitality is required;
- Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a hospitality role;
- Extensive knowledge on wines and regions of the different types, both local and non local;
- Available to work on weekends;
- Good communication skills;
- Enthusiasm, reliability, flexibility;
- Lover of interaction with other people.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which included, evenings, weekends and holidays;
- High Knowledge of current regulations and of the safety standards;
- Professional appearance and curate self-grooming.
